For those who collect BSA hat diamond patches, Bob Shotwell's discovery of the pattern samples of Universal Hat and Cap Manufacturing, Inc. was a Godsend. Many hat diamonds, which were popoular in the 1960s and early 1970s on forest green caps, were difficult to identify because they contained only a graphic. Before putting them up at auction, Bob photographed them and we've made them available here as a gilwell.com Scouting memorabilia reference. You can see more hat diamonds on the hatDiamond webpage on gilwell.com at http://www.gilwell.com/hatDiamonds/ . | |||
