The Cub Scouting
Division took a different approach. Their courses were regional,
rather than council courses, and focused on training trainers
to go back to their councils and train other Cub Scout leaders.
Ever frugal, the Cub Scout Trainer Wood Badge courses used the
existing Cub Scout leader neckerchief and embroidered a gold
axe and log on it. The last course was W-CS-45, held at Peaceful
Valley in September 1999. After closing Gilwell Field for the
last time, the support staff placed two stones, one atop the
other, where the axe and log had been. - the trail symbol for
'I have gone home.' |
