From brave L.A. Burke, here are some ideas to get us started on identifying how we would know if we have been successful:

Success is:

1. Influence the legislature to support HB/SB1 and HB/SB17.

2. All or most of those laid off as result of Sept 11th events have new jobs in the next 6 months. Or it could be a percentage of them. (the ultimate goal)

3. Federal, State, City and Private health and human services agencies find new ways to work together. To share resources. To produce outcomes that enables the people who need our services to be self-sufficient and productive members of the community. To continue these partnerships in the future and embed this as a way of doing business.

4. Based on pre-Sept 11th data, increase the number (by number/percentage/etc.) of outreach contacts by each health and human services and support agencies.

5. Produce and distribute through radio, news and print media a series of "hope and inspiration" messages in the next 6 months.

6. Feed those who need it now. Shelter those who need it now.
